The serial number of this 222K / 222 Featherweight is EK323952. This serial number dates the Featherweight to March 14, 1955.

222K / 222 Singer Featherweights have the ability to very easily raise and lower the feed dog using the "sew/darn" lever which is next to the stitch length indicator lever.

There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.

The finish, which is bright and shiny, has few usage marks.

The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.

The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.

The bobbin case is included.

The throat plate is a graduated throat plate. The markings are 1/8th inch apart.
