1960 RED "S" 222K / 222 SINGER FEATHERWEIGHT. ES165426

This is one of the best of the best. It is a gorgeous, much desired, beautiful Singer red "S" 222K Featherweight. It has the appearance of being used with great care for a short amount of time. It is in absolutely gorgeous condition.

Not only is this machine gorgeous looking but it also runs quietly and sews well.

The serial number of this Featherweight is ES165426. This dates the machine to October 19, 1960.

The Singer 222K Featherweight is in excellent cosmetic condition (as can be seen in the photographs) as well as in good operating condition. 

222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.

There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.

The finish, which is bright and shiny, has very few usage marks as can be seen in the photographs.

The decals are a deep golden color.

The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.

The throat plate is a graduated throat plate. The markings are in eighths.

The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.

The case is in excellent condition. It is clean both inside and out. The latches work very well.

The attachments are shown below and include the darning foot and embroidery hoop.

The embroidery hoop was the only 222K specific attachment that was made specifically for the 222K and that was an option to purchase.

The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine.
