This is a much desired beautiful red "S" 222K.
This red "S" 222K Featherweight runs quietly and sews well.
There is barely a mark on the sewing bed.
We specialize in Singer Featherweights with a particular interest in the hard to find 222K Featherweights.
There is slight wear to the bed decals in front of the throat plate.
All of the Featherweights that we sell have been thoroughly detailed. They have been cleaned, serviced, lubricated and tested. The testing consists of the machine going through a final 9 point checklist before being listed. The checklist is given toward the end of the listing description just before the many Feedback comments we have received on Featherweights that we have sold.
The Singer 222K Featherweight is in excellent cosmetic condition (as can be seen in the photographs) as well as in excellent operating condition.
THE 110-120 VOLTAGE MOTOR OPERATES SMOOTHLY. THIS 222K FEATHERWEIGHT WILL OPERATE IN THE USA AND CANADA.
NO VOLTAGE ADAPTER IS NEEDED. The sewing machine is ready to just plug in and play.
222K Featherweights were never produced in the USA. Original motors for 222K machines are either Canadian or British. If a 222K has a USA motor the Featherweight is not fully original.
The serial number of this Featherweight is EP543586 which dates the machine to September 22, 1959.
222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.
There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
The photographs are of the 222K that is for sale.
The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.
The finish, which is bright and shiny, has very few usage marks as can be seen in the photographs.
The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.

The throat plate is a graduated throat plate.
The case is in excellent condition. It is clean both inside and out. The latches work very well.

The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine.
The sewing machine has been serviced and tested so that you can quilt, sew or proudly display the Featherweight upon its arrival.
Featherweights are notorious for being damaged while being shipped. It is very important that they be carefully and properly packed.
