This is a Singer 222K Featherweight that runs and sews well but is cosmetically challenged.
If you have been looking for a 222K to use as a workhorse and not too concerned regarding the cosmetics or you have been looking for that rare 222K to repaint a glorious color, this machine fits the bill.
The decals are complete but the clear coat finish has issues particularly on the bed under the Singer badge. This can clearly be seen in many of the 28 photographs.
The machine has been given exactly the same preparation as all of our Featherweights are given before being put for sale.

The Bakelite electrical receptacle has the infamous “Featherweight chip” from hitting the case edge.
The locks on the case open well but need buttons pushed to assist closing.
There are no attachments.
The electrical leads wires are new as are the bed cushions.
The motor is a US Singer Featherweight motor so it plugs into any North American outlet to run.
The serial number is EJ909993 which dates the 222K to September 10, 1954.
This machine has been fully serviced, all parts thoroughly checked and cleaned, properly lubricated and then completely tested.
There are no missing parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
The machine runs quietly and sews well, the light works, the bobbin winder works, hook is timed, the foot control has a range of speed, etc. Everything works as it should.
