The serial number of this Featherweight is EP131958. This dates the machine to March 3, 1959.
222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.
There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
This 222K Featherweight has fewer usage marks than expected on a sixty year old sewing machine. This machine was well looked after.
The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.
There is a bobbin case.
The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control. Everything works as it should.
The sewing machine has been serviced and tested so that you can quilt, sew or proudly display the Featherweight upon its arrival. They are a favorite sewing machine of quilters worldwide because they are reliable, compact, lightweight, versatile and let’s face it they are so darn cute.
The throat plate is a graduated throat plate.
Both latches work securely. The right latch needs the button pushed to easily latch.
The right latch needs a little push to close.
The attachments below are included. The manual is a quality reproduction.
The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine.
