We have been selling Featherweights since 2004. Until recently all of our machine have been completely original. They have the original paint, original decals and original clear coat finish. All parts are Singer Featherweight parts.
Before being sold these machines are taken apart with all parts from large to tiny being thoroughly cleaned, inspected with any faulty parts being replaced with original parts, reassembled, the machine is lubricated, waxed three times, serviced and tested. Only when they run and sew as they should, we sell them.
REPAINTED FEATHERWEIGHTS
Over the years we have come across many Featherweights that are mechanically sound and run/sew well but are cosmetically challenged. We have decided that these machines deserve to be cosmetically restored.
These machines are taken apart and all painted parts have the paint removed, are primed with an etching primer, painted a color of our choice, new decals put in place and then clear coated. All the painting is done by professionals.
The non painted parts are thoroughly cleaned and inspected with any faulty parts being replaced with original parts. The newly painted parts and the non painted parts are then reassembled, the machine is lubricated then waxed three times, serviced and tested. Only when they run and sew as they should, we sell them.
Because of the re-painting these Featherweights can be fun colours that Singer never made.
These machines that have gone through the above process from being cosmetically challenged to being beautiful we call RESTORED Featherweights.
