1960 RED 'S' 222 / 222K FEATHERWEIGHT. ER022894

This beautiful 222 / 222K Featherweight has been used with care and used rarely. It runs and sews very well. In addition, it is a desired red "S" badged Featherweight. There are very few usage marks. This sewing machine is an excellent Singer 222K Featherweight.

The serial number of this Featherweight is ER022894. This dates the machine to March 15, 1960.

222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.

There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.

The finish, which is bright and shiny, has very few usage marks as can be seen in the photographs.

The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.

The throat plate is a graduated throat plate.

The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.

The case is in excellent condition. It is clean both inside and out. The latches work very well.

A reproduction of the manual is included.

The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine.
