222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.
There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
All Singer 222K machines with serial numbers beginning with EJ and the early serial numbers beginning with EK had a chromed, unmarked steel sew / darn plate.
The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.
The bobbin case is an original Singer Featherweight bobbin case.
