This 1956 Singer 222K / 222 is a beautiful Featherweight. It runs very quietly and sews a nice stitch.

The decals are a deep golden color. There is some slight decal fading on the flip up bed on the front edge. There are very few usage marks as can be seen in the photographs.

As with all our Featherweights this machine has been thoroughly inspected, parts have been ultrasonically cleaned, the machine then reassembled, fully serviced, waxed and then thoroughly tested.

The light works, the bobbin winder winds bobbins, the foot control has a large range of speeds, the tension is balanced, etc. Everything on the machine works.

The serial number of this 222K (222) Featherweight is EL684798. This dates the machine to September 17, 1956.

There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.

The 222K is convertible to a 2" sewing arm by removing the sewing bed.
The feed dogs can be easily lowered for free motion sewing.

The stitches from this lovely sounding Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine. 

This original 222 machine has been restored (not repainted), serviced and tested so that you can quilt with, sew with or proudly display this 222K Featherweight.
