This is a 76 year old Singer 221 Featherweight that has been carefully looked after. It runs quietly and sews a nice stitch.
As with all our Featherweights this machine has been thoroughly inspected, fully serviced, waxed and then thoroughly tested.
The light works, the bobbin winder winds bobbins, the foot control has a large range of speeds, the tension is balanced, etc. Everything on the machine works as it should.
The sewing machine is ready to just plug in and play.
The serial number of this Singer 221 Featherweight is AH198097. This dates the machine to August 10, 1947.
There are no missing or broken parts, no oily, brown cigarette smoke residue or other grunge to try to remove, no expensive repairs to be done, no surprises and no frustration.
The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine.
