This all nickel plated, early art deco Ideal Sewing Machine was produced for a very short time around 1920.
It is one of the most gorgeous looking sewing machines ever made.
The photograph below is from Glenda Thomas' book "Toy and Miniature Sewing Machines."
A great specimen for any collection.
This is an excellent addition to your collection or a spectacular decorative piece for your sewing room.
These machines were produced for less than five years, possibly only for one year.
It is hard to believe that this machine is around 100 years old.
It has a walking foot.
This machine is the type "A" machine (on the right) which is the original Ideal machine.
A noticeable change from the type "A" to "B" is the addition of the "Ideal" face plate.
The type "A" machine did not have a face plate.
The carrying case is a tin case.
