All of the Featherweights that we sell, both 221 and 222K machines, have their hook assemblies removed, cleaned, de-burred, reassembled, lubricated and then replaced.
When we get a Featherweight sewing machine the hook assembly area looks similar to the photograph below.
After removal it will look like this.
More often than not there is usually quite a lot more thread hooked around the assembly than in the photograph above.
We take the assembly apart.
The parts are cleaned.
The cleaned parts are reassembled.
The assembly is lubricated and then installed back on the Featherweight.
The cleaning, de-burring and lubricating of the hook assembly is another reason to consider buying a Featherweight from us.
